Born on December 5th 1964, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Attended the Catholic French schools, Ecole Ste. Ignace and Notre Dame des Ecoles. Attended Lakeway Collegiate and Vocational School and graduated in June 1982. Enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in Sudbury, Ontario on August 18th 1983 as an Infantry Soldier.
Reported for Recruit and Infantry training at the Royal Canadian Regiment Battle School at CFB Petawawa on September 17th 1983. After graduation, was posted to “Juliet” Company of the 2nd Battalion of the RCR at CFB Gagetown in April 1984. Successfully completed the Basic Parachutist course at the Canadian Airborne Centre at CFB Edmonton in June 1985. Posted to 3 Commando of the Canadian Airborne Regiment at CFB Petawawa in July 1986 and was promoted to Corporal in July 1987. Was accepted for Occupational Transfer in August 1989 and was posted to CFB Borden at the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Technology and Engineering (CFSATE) for the Aircraft Machinist trade.
Upon graduation was posted in April 1990 to the Base Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Organization (BAMEO) of 412 Squadron at CFB Uplands in Ottawa, ON maintaining the Challenger (CC144) and Cosmopolitan (CC109) aircrafts. After the closing of Uplands, was posted in July 1994 to CFB Trenton and became employed in the Machine Shop at the Aerospace Maintenance and Development Unit (AMDU) which later became Aerospace Telecommunications Engineering Support Squadron (ATESS). After the Air trades amalgamation in 1997, converted into an Aircraft Structures Technician and was moved to the Metal Shop in September 1998.
Promoted to Master Corporal in July 2003 and was posted to 443 Squadron at CFB Esquimalt (Pat Bay) in Victoria, BC to work on the Sea King Maritime Helicopter (CH124). Promoted to Sergeant in July 2006, returned to CFSATE as a Course Director and Instructor Supervisor. Accepted a position as a Recruiter and Military Career Counsellor with the Canadian Forces Recruiting Detachment in Sault Ste. Marie, ON in July 2008.
Promoted to Warrant Officer in August 2011 as an Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent, was posted back to ATESS in the position of a Workshops Services Superintendent. Retired from the Canadian Armed Forces after 31 years of service on December 9, 2014. Enrolled in Sault College in September 2014 and graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Technician program in June 2017.
Currently living on St. Joseph Island, in the summer enjoys golf, fishing and boating and snowmobiling the winter. Is also a season ticket holder for the Soo Greyhounds hockey team. Actively involved with the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 374, Royal Canadian Air Force Association 432 (Algoma) Wing and the St. Joseph Island Voyageurs Snowmobiling Club.
